We are honored that you have joined this branch of Christ and look forward to developing a relationship with you. God has given us a vision for reaching, teaching and equipping those who are a part of the Kingdom. Our desire is to serve your family, our church and our community, as we are empowered through the word of God and his Holy Spirit. About New Members

The mission of the Faith Temple Christian Church New Members Ministry is to help the new believer establish a foundation in the word of God. We strive to help each increase each person’s understanding by teaching God’s word and imparting principles that enhance knowledge and application. In addition to educating them on our Pastor’s vision, basic Christian doctrines, ministries and services, our primary purpose is to support the spiritual training and growth (“care of feeding) of new members.

Our focus is to assist, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the relationship our new members can and will develop, with Christ Jesus. We believe that God’s plan for each believer can only be revealed when we develop the tools necessary to recognize and understand what God is saying to us through his Word. We promote and encourage the continued emphasis on reading and studying God’s Word. This will nurture each person’s relationship with our Lord and Savior, as they grow in Christ.

Education and Training Modules

We have designed training modules that all New Members of Faith Temple are required to complete as a New Member. Each module prepares you to serve in a ministry where your gifts, talents and skills can be fully utilized for the advancement of the Kingdom. The vision of Pastor Barnett is for our new servant leaders to be fully equipped while serving in ministry and impacting our communities for Christ.

All New Members (and current members who have not yet completed their New Member Orientation Classes), will be required to take all modules prior to becoming active in ministry.

Class Dates and Times

Currently classes are held at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday Mornings. The New Members course curriculum provides a solid foundation for those new to the faith and those who may have belonged to a church in the past, but need spiritual enrichment

New Members Training Module I- Basics and Fundaments of Being a Christian

"II Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth"

Our New Members Program serves as the road map that directs you on your journey through four (4) important courses of study:

· Salvation

· Stewardship

· Studying the Bible

· Baptism

New Members Training Module II - Serving With A Spirit of Excellence

The objective of this course is to train members in the area of service, attitude, communication and Christian conduct.

How the New Member Benefits

In addition our desire is to effectively articulate to New Members the manifold blessing associated with being a part of the Kingdom of God and assembling with a local body of believers. Those benefits include:

Obtain spiritual covering under the guidance of a local pastor
Strengthening the bonds of love and kinship. (Philippians. 2:1-4)
Being a part of a family of believers. (I Corinthians. 12:12-14)
Experiencing the mutually supportive fellowship of the Body of Christ in Worship
Offered a variety of learning experiences based upon the Word of God.
Comforted in sickness and encouraged to recovery of good health.

Faith Temple Christian Church (FTCC) provides many ways for you to serve with fellow members in order to to form meaningful, lasting relationships and receive and provide the personal support, encouragement, and prayers that every believer needs.

Service
Serving with others is one of the best ways to build valuable relationships and get to know people . There are more than 10 volunteer ministries at FTCC.

Interested in serving during our weekly worship services? We are currently recruiting volunteers to be a part of our Service and Ministry Teams such as Nursery, Greeters, Youth, Music, Worship and Arts, and Christian Education
